Congratulations again for a great showing at State and for a great season! The Deseret News has a photo gallery of the race-with a lot pictures of Hillcrest runners, you can see it here. Also, there is a short article in the Salt Lake Tribune, mainly about American Fork, but it does mention Daniel Reich's time at the very end. You can read the article here.

Also, the team banquet is coming up. If you have taken any pictures of the team this year (including summer training), please submit them to Coach Olsen. Thanks again for a great season!

Midvale Journal

Forgot to post this link. It is for the last article that the Midvale Journal did on our team. They had also previously published another article, which you can find here. I'm sure most of you have seen the articles or read them, but know we can keep them linked to the blog for a while.

Hi everybody! This is Coach Olsen's wife. Just wanted to apologize for the not having the video at the Banquet. We were having some serious technical issues. Good news though-the video is now ready! Coach will have it at school with him tomorrow, and I think he is planning on showing it tomorrow. Please spread the word around to your teammates-but first check with Coach to confirm that he will show it tomorrow. Also, thanks for the input on the songs-it was really helpful. Sorry again and I hope you enjoy the video!!

Shock the World!

It's safe to say you "Shocked the World!" Congratulations on a FANTASTIC finish in the State Championship! Here are some individual Highlights: *Jason Lynch was the 6th place overall runner in State. * Daniel Reich was the 46th place overall runner in State. *Both Jason and Daniel were 2nd place and 19th place respectively in 5A. *Josh Kennedy placed in the top 30 in 5A as well! Let's not forget those of you that got PR's in this race. However, the WHOLE team should be credited for this success-you worked together as a team to accomplish being the 4th best team in 5A, 10th best in State. None of the newspaper articles mentions the school (except in the results section), however this article does mention that Jason took second place. Congratulations again!

Hey Team! Just some quick information. For those of you running the 10k on Thursday, we will be meeting in the Northeast Parking lot of the Marriott University Park Hotel at 5:30 A.M. We'll then run up to Research Park on Chipeta Way. Here is a map of the area:

For those of you that don't know, Wasatch Running Center is having an anniversary sale this week. It ends on Saturday, the 8th of March. There are a bunch of good deals if you search carefully! Here is their link for more information. Don't forget to check back for other news and updates, and come out and support the track team at their meet week against East (on the 7th at Hillcrest).

Hey Team! Hope this post finds everyone doing well. If you are interested in getting the video, please email Coach Olsen-sorry it has taken so long to get out. Also, just so you know, anybody can comment on the blog-you don't need special permission to do so. Congratulations goes out to all of those that participated in the BYU indoor invitational-we had a great showing. Just so you know, Jason Lynch finished 9th overall in the 2 mile event. Hey team! The article about the team is out already. You can find it in the Midvale Journal. You can check with Midvale City to find out where you can get a copy of the actual newspaper. However, this is the link for the downloaded version. The article is on page six. If you are interested, there are various Thanksgiving Day 5ks around the valley. This is the link in Runners World for one of the races, in the Cottonwood Heights area, and this link is for a 6k in the City Creek area. Salt Lake Running Company has a couple of other races listed if you want to check out there web site. Happy Thanksgiving!
