Summer training

I now post this as an alumni that hasn't been able to come to many practices, but don't think that I haven't been paying attention to what's been going on! I'll soon pass this blog on to Josh and Taylor, and I'm sure that they'll keep it more updated than I have. You guys have had, from what I've heard, quite an amazing summer! The teams are very young, but seem to be showing a lot of potential! You just finished HARC, one of our hardest weeks of training, and have pretty much officially made it through three months of intense training. Be proud of your accomplishments and decision to stick it through to the end. Remember what Coach says, Finish what you begin. There's still another couple of months of intense training, and even better, intense racing! Now is when all the real fun begins! It may get harder to stay dedicated during the school year. Activities and homework may tempt you to slacken your running. Don't do it! It's entirely possible to run and do well in your classes, you just have to be willing to work a little harder. For the next two months, keep training, keep up your confidence, never back down, and remember all the runs you've done as you've trained through the summer. These will inspire confidence when you come to those all important Region and State runs. Good luck out there guys, I'll be out on those courses cheering you on!
